Committee business

At the July 2006 IGIC Quarterly meeting, the topic of IGIC Committees was addressed. Several committees have over the years been largely inactive. The IGIC Board addressed this by dissolving the E911 Committee and folding the GPS Committee activities into a new Geodetic Control Committee. The Geodetic Committee will have an inaugural meeting on September 14, 2006 in Newton. Lawrence Hartpence with Jasper County has agreed to get this Committee up and rolling.

Congratulations to 2006-2008 IGIC Executive Committee members

At the 2006 IGIC Quarterly meeting, the Board of Directors elected the following individuals to Executive Committee positions. These positions were effective immediately.

Serving two year terms are Terry Brase as Treasurer and Micah Cutler as Secretary. Anne Packard was elected as the new organizational Vice-Chair. Anne will serve as Vice-Chair until July 1, 2007 when she will assume the role of Chair from Herb Kuehne.
